Lake DeSoto Farmers Market
Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., the Lake Desoto Farmer’s Market will set up shop at the corner of Marion Avenue and Highway 90. You’ll find fresh vegetables, dairy products, eggs and plenty of baked goods. In many cases, the foods you can buy at the farmer’s market are grown with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Community Concerts of Lake City
Between October 1 and 8, Community Concerts of Lake City are putting on great shows at 149 SE College Place. A fresh round of shows begins on October 9 and runs through October 15.

Fraud Prevention and Identity Theft
The Columbia County Public Library, located at 308 Northwest Columbia Avenue, is hosting a free, public event where you can learn how to protect yourself from fraud and identity theft. The class is being taught by the local crime prevention unit.

Breakfast with the Chief
Enjoy free breakfast, informative discussion and a community forum on neighborhood issues at Breakfast with the Chief on October 17. The breakfast will be held at First Baptist Church, which is located at 182 Northeast Justice Street.
