The holiday season is here, and Lake City will transform into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 10, 2016! Here is a sample of some of the activities planned for this year.

Your dreams for a white Christmas will come true as Lake City’s Snow Day comes complete with—you guessed it—SNOW!
Dashing to the Snow 5K & Snow Day Events
Get your blood pumping for the day with a run (or walk) through Wilson Park on Lake DeSoto beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration for this event is $30 by December 9th or $35 on the day of the race. You can register online at lakecitychamber.com, in person at the Lake City – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce or at the event.
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the fun continues at the Darby Pavilion. Bring the family and join in on activities such as live entertainment, snow slides, bounce houses and the main attraction—30 tons of snow. You’ll have a chance to win cash and prizes, too! Santa will also be there to visit with the kids from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a free event.
Rotary Club of Lake City’s Christmas Parade
After a fun-filled morning and afternoon at Snow Day, you can grab a bite to eat or shop downtown Lake City—but not for long! The Rotary Club of Lake City’s Christmas Parade will kick off at 6:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Bright Lights, Christmas Lights! Watch the town light up and be dazzled with holiday cheer!
